The teak stain finish is beautiful and gives it a high-end look that blends perfectly into our outdoor space. It looks much nicer than the typical metal hammock stands and really adds to the overall aesthetic of the yard.The stand feels very solid and well-built. The 450 lb capacity rating gives us confidence that it’s sturdy and safe, and once assembled it feels very stable when getting in and out of the hammock. I regret this purchase. Both end pieces of the stand arrived with severe wood cracking, which we only discovered after full assembly. The structure is now uneven and clearly not safe for outdoor use, especially in weather-prone areas like mine.What’s worse is that returning or exchanging the item is virtually impossible. The original box is gone (as expected after assembling a large item), yet there is no practical or reasonable way to request a replacement.This product looked premium and had solid reviews, but my experience has been unacceptable. It’s now a safety risk on my deck, and the lack of support or flexibility from the seller is disappointing.Do not recommend. I expected much better from a product at this price point.

I bought this hammock with the expectation that the actual hammock will only last me a season or two at best. Easily fits two people, and so very comfy. I bought this set because I loved the wooden stand and reviews say it is a really, really long-lasting one. This one is made of a European wood that is used in ship-building. The finish is teak, but the wood is not teak. But very hefty and well-oiled, beads water nicely. Way more affordable than the ones made in the Carolinas!!!! I will buy some teak oil and take the hammock in before it rains and this Father's Day gift will be one of the best ever. My 7-year old helped put it together, the trick is to only hand-tighten until you have everything set and then the holes do all line up. Also, the directions do not show where the BIG holes go

This hammock is great! I set it up this afternoon in about 30mns. First of it is big, which is what I was looking for. I am 6'4" and 220lbs. I for perfectly between the wood end pieces with a few inches to spare. So far it seems pretty heavy duty and easily holds me comfortably. The construction is to notch. Fairly easily assembled. The fabric and pillow seem heavy duty.My only gripe is the tools provided. They are a little archaic but deff get the job done. It comes with 2 sockets and a bit of metal you pass through the socket to use as a handle/tightener. The problem I found was they kept falling out of the hole as you tightened the bolt and threaded screw. Not a biggie by any means but it would have been nice if one end was larger so it would stay in the socket. If you have a socket …

Arrived without a scratch though the box was beat up. Will see how it lasts but this is indoors so I don't expect much deterioration with time. Picture instructions were easy to follow. Two 11/16 socket drivers make it easier (the included wrenches are pretty thin metal and one was squished and useless anyway). Only hint I would give is to not tighten anything until you've put those 4 bottom nuts on: to do so the easy way is to make sure the bolt spins freely (wiggle the wood parts around) and hold the nut from underneath i.e., don't turn the nut, turn the bolt until the nut is on. It's a bit of a pain to try to get the nut to turn when reaching underneath. All the holes lined up perfectly and I was swinging in my hammock in less than a half hour.

I LOVE my hammock! I've always though if I had a hammock, I'd like one of these cool looking arcs, but I wasn't sure it would be stable or comfortable. It was so easy to assemble - by myself - I was able to complete it in almost dark conditions - I couldn't wait until the next morning! Good hardware, and it was cute that they included (workable) "tools" but use your own socket wrench set and make assembly a lot easier. As someone noted, taking up extra links in the chains on each end raises the hammock so you are not crawling in and out at ground level. I attached a piece of clothesline cord to the base so I can "rock" myself by pulling on it while I'm in the hammock. This is absolutely a beautiful Hammock stand. Very easy to assemble, very solid and nicely finished, and durable. This is really a bargain, even if you add the shipping costs! The hammock that is included is double-padded and appears to be of good quality as well. Of course, if left outside year around one would expect a certain amount of weathering and wear and tear! Some of the reviewers also complained about the Hammock being "typsy" and difficult to get on and off. Now, in all fairness, there is a bit of a learning curve and you probably have to adjust the length of the chains to find out what your preference is. I was a bit skeptical of this purchase since it was hundreds below other equivalent quality hardwood hammock stands AND included the hammock, but this is the real deal. I could tell from the packing that the quality was far better than other wooden stands in this price range based on comments I've seen here. It came well packed with zero damage to both box or product when it arrived. It was easy to put together though the instructions were a bit sparse - pictures only, but it's is easy to figure out and doesn't require a single tool besides a knife to cut the box open. The wrenches for assembly are all included. I preferred to use my own ratchet wrench for quicker, tighter assembly.Because it is solid hardwood it is extremely heavy though.
