They prove that you don't have to spend a lot of money on name brands to get a good product. I'm not a professional and did not want to spend a lot of money on a good set of chisels. I took a chance on these and they are great. Came in sharp and they do everything I need. Treat them good and watch a video on how to sharpen them and I'm sure I'll get years of use out of them.

They have worked for everything I needed to so far. But the rings that prevent the handles from splitting feels cheap. As if they could be a metallic shell over plastic core? Or a really chintzy metal? Not sure but it doesn't feel like it will work better than a few turns of bailing wire will in the long term. Though the handles themselves have plenty of grip space and a good shape that helps find edge alignment. They are maybe more top heavy than is ideal. But not unwieldy. The packaging is rather nice. They come in one of those crimped plastic sleeves with multiple slots and a flap. It rolls up and goes into a bag which fits into a decent reusable cardboard box. I use these from time to time on the job and they work like they should! Very sharp! The different sizes in the bundle is a nice feature. Worth it to me!

For the cost, these chisels are good to go.In my opinion, these are better than many of the cheap name brand chisels at the blue or orange store sells.Not on par with Sorby, Stanley Sweetheart, or Narex, but they work just fine.Needed to sharpen before use, but sharpened up quickly. Seem to hold an edge ok.Overall, very pleased.

Decent

These chisels were reasonably sharp out of the box, but, like most tools, really should be sharpened before use for the best results. I spent about 15-20 minutes on the 1/2" and 3/4" chisels that I needed for my project with 400/1000/3000/8000 grit stones using an angle guide. Despite feeling sharp out the box, it's remarkable how much better these chisels will go with a little work. I was easily able to carve clean notches into some old reclaimed cedar 2x4s I was repurposing.The edges are clean and help keep the wood nice and straight.The handle can take being hammered without showing any signs of splitting.I really like this size chisel as it feels good in the hand and is big enough to give a little leverage without being cumbersome.I'm leaving them stored in the cardboard box they came

These are the best value in chisels that I have ever had. The chisels arrived well packaged, and appeared to be of good quality.After unpacking, I began the task of flattening them, and to my surprise, it took no more than 5 minutes each.Each chisel polished to a mirror finish on its back, with minimal effort, and time. They were just as easy to get a razor sharp edge.I haven't had occasion to use them on anything other than yellow pine and walnut, but they have retained their edge as well as any others that I own.I suspect that they will not hold that edge quite as long as a top of the line, top dollar chisel, but for the money, and ease of sharpening, they can't be beaten.At 16 dollars for the entire set, I can happily sharpen a bit more frequently, and do without the coronary when one
