Exploring Beauty is the second album for Denmark's always unpredicable and completely inimitable Düreforsög. This is their first release on Kool Arrow. Düreforsög, which translated into English means 'animal testing', are blazing new trails in the music scene by culling their vast, diverse range of influences (Residents, This Heat, Butthole Surfers) and honing them into their own unique sound.This album chronicles Düreforsög's exploration of beauty in their own universe. They travel through moody exotic soundscapes, trashy electric outbursts of noise, groovy and unusual beats, optimistic melodies with hauntingly unsettling lyrics, and they top it all off with the patented anarchistic Düreforsög inferno of growls, screams and distortion. In general, a more ambiguous but also more accessible style that is both odd and beautiful. Don't be surprised if more often than once you get the feeling that you have stumbled over a lost David Lynch film. This feeling is accentuated by the soundscapes that bind the tracks together - sometimes dark and unnerving, sometimes strange and funny. Nearly a full year and eight different studios were required to get this mixture right, and the result is nothing short of a masterpiece of modern aggressive music.With an average age of 20 this quintet have more experience under their collective belt than most 'veteran' bands out there. They have amassed a tremendous following in Denmark and are currently poised to win over the world...one country at a time.
