Yikes! This was not very expensive but I expected that it would at least be able to hold some laundry and not fall apart. It's really small and the handles seem to be barely stitched on. The photo makes this hamper look large but it really isn't. The dimensions are only 13" x 13" x 21". Even so, it wouldn't be that bad if it actually stayed upright and didn't fall apart after a few weeks like mine did. I bought a couple of other hampers which were so much better and not that much more costly. Honestly,.I would not buy this one again even if it were a few cents because it just falls apart.

Perfect small hamper for my mother in assisted living so as to separate her compression stockings from her other regular laundry since these stockings require hand washing. I pinned a note on outside to indicate "use only for compression stockings for hand wash and daughter will manage the wash/dry/returns." We are happy with this product. Her assisted living staff are 100% cooperative by placing her compression stockings into the special hamper, and these stockings, which are more expensive than regular socks, continue to maintain the elasticity for the purpose.

First of all, it is small. Keep that in mind. That said, it really does fit a lot of clothes. I can fit 2 weeks worth of summer clothes in it before it fills up. The handles are weak, though. I have a laundry machine in my apartment, I literally just have to walk down the hall. I had read reviews about it breaking, so I was very gentle with it when I picked it up - but still, the handles started ripping right away.Pros:- cheap- holds a lot for its small sizeCons:- handles are not strong enough to support the laundry basket when it is full- materials feel cheap (you get what you pay for)

I've had a couple pop-open hampers for a couple years, but the ones I've been using are slowly falling apart.I could find any replacements at the store, so I purchased three of these without reading any of the reviews.This was a mistake, for whatever reason the $2 price tag didn't set off any warning bells.The handles broke off before I got even one load of clothes to the laundry (one hamper's handles after a few steps, the other of just before reaching the washer).I was determined to make the most of the hampers instead putting them straight into the trash (which is where they belong).The mesh fabric is very weak, so I was able to easily tear handles into the bag itself (underneath the metal bands that make up the edges of the hamper). Okay, my ADULT kids used these for a while. There were extras laying around and my granddaughter started to drop her clothes in the bathroom on the floor for a bath. So I figured I'd make it easy and put one in the bathroom for her. She caught on real fast. We had also gotten a couple as free gifts from another electronics store. So, why do we need so many? They tend not to last real long when 2 kittens, a 5 year old (instigator of most) and two dogs play with them. They do not hold up to being an exercise gym, Barbie doll vehicles or largish dogs trying to turn around. I do consider this as abuse. At first when I took it out of the box, I thought this is much smaller than I originally thought. Well once it popped open, it is a great size for what I needed it for. I'm using it for my daughters socks and undies, all clean, and at least she'll be able to find things now.Also using them in the sewing room. The straps are not flimsy like I've read in other reviews. I have no problem carrying or pulling it around filled with different fabrics. I love these. It is a great size and price too. They're not huge but not tiny either. Exact size I needed. I like these as much as the larger hampers I've purchased through Amazon. Much rather order these than have to look in different stores and pay their prices. I don't think you can go wrong with this purchase.

I have owned this hamper for about a year, and as a college student I would put it through the worst conditions imaginable. I crammed in way more laundry than it should carry, threw it around, and more.That said, it has mostly held together. I say mostly because it has developed some tearing around the edges, specifically at the top of one of the four sides, and I fear it may be on the way out. The handles have, surprisingly, held up to the abuse through which I've put them.This was good for the price, having lasted as long as it has. I will, however, probably choose a different hamper as a replacement, as I will likely continue to abuse my laundry in the manner to which I have become accustomed, and I need a hamper that can take it in stride.

I bought this product for an extra bedroom that only needs to have a few clothes kept off the floor and I'm satisfied with that. I didn't want a hamper with a large footprint -so 13X13, is great - the black mesh just about disappears in the room when empty.I can't see a college student using this for a dorm (especially in a cold climate where clothes are bulky), unless they have time to wash more than once p/week. It's too small and the handles feel flimsy. It wouldn't last through the first few loads!You have to be careful not to over load it because the handles feel as if they will tear off even if clothes are just loosely filled to the top with a few blouses, 1 pair of jeans, and a couple of nighties.
